Wine for Beef Stew

The crisp fall weather here in Northern California has me turning up the thermostat and hankering for hearty beef stew. This wonderful recipe from The Food Network warms up my kitchen with the wonderful aromas of tender meat, carrots, celery and potatoes. And I get to use my new orange Le Creuset Dutch Oven to make it! It’s the cutest. Anyway, with a stocky, flavorful stew like this you need to serve an equally powerful, warm, rich wine. My pick:
